Is God a Delusion? The Debate That Never Was: William Lane Craig vs Richard Dawkins?
Marriage is a sacred thing, a holy thing. It is an example of the one true God’s love for us, his dear bride. As my heart glimpses this picture and the deep riches that is two friends pledging to live, love, and serve with one another for the rest of their days my soul cannot help but leap with joy like the baby leapt in Elizabeth’s womb.
A wedding is like two mountain streams, wellsprings each their own, meeting to become one as they both flow into a vast and wide ocean. How fitting then to be knit together by the sea.
In my season of singleness I’ve seen several couple come together and it is always a beautiful, wondrous thing. It makes me long for my future husband, but even more so it makes me look to the cross and the God who gave us this gift of marriage. What joy to be running the race with your best friend, for better or worse, through the silly days and the hard moments. Through the fights and the dances.
Real marriage, true, honest and Godly marriage is a sweet, sweet picture of the Divine Holy One.
