I guess I should’ve posted this photo awhile ago. Before my family rants on me about my decision, let me tell you what it means to me, because that’s what it should be all about right? It’s my body. This is my reminder of my submission to the Lord. I took it upon myself to ask for complete forgiveness one night, even though all these years that have passed i’ve tried my best to stay away from Him. I said everything that was in my heart, I let go of everything that was hurting me, and He took it all away. What happened at this miraculous moment? A white moth landed on my arm and I completely shut down and cried my eyes out. A moth symbolizes change, which is the process I am undergoing, and white symbolizes purity and to purify. The Lord is purifying me through His grace, it’s so amazing.I’m reasonably sure I took this picture. This is a great tattoo.

I will answer these in your numerical order:
- I feel God is so utterly saddened by cutting. Think of it this way; our God, the creator of the universe sent His son Christ Jesus into the word to die for our sins that we may be saved by grace I faith. The pain He endured was that you may be free of pain, not that you may delve into self created pain. Our God is shattered at the sight of his creation, made in His image, for His glory to be in His presence, harming his/herself. It is utterly heart breaking. You were created to live in His grace by Christ’s blood. [Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.] Keep these verses in mind: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 1 Peter 5:7, 1 Timothy 1:7, Romans 12:2, Psalm 55:22
- Don’t focus on others hearing you, focus on Christ. Focus on Him 100% and through a transformation by His spirit, by His blood and by His light shining through you, people will see Him. Work on your relationship in Him on growing in Him and He will transform you to a point where you cannot help but proclaim the name of God and people cannot help but look. Focus. On. Christ.
- There are a multitude of answers I could give you as to why you may not feel His presence but I couldn’t know the true answer, that is between you and God. Press and push for Him. Seek Him in pray, come before Him in true repentance recognizing that you are nothing without Him. Pray. Praise. Pray some more, and do a little more praying. Seek His throne of grace.
- It is made quite clear that sex before marriage an abomination before the eyes of God, like any other sin. Jonathan and i have a video on sex before marriage found here. Here are some verses on premarital sex: 1 Corinthians 7:2, 1 Corinthians 6:13, 1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Corinthians 10:8, 2 Corinthians 12:21 (You can tell the Corinthians were quite sexual) Acts 15:20, Galatians 5:19, Ephesians 5:3, Colossians 3:5, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, Jude 7
Again, I’m sorry to the girl who wrote this for accidentally deleting it but I hope this helps you and anybody else who had these questions. Well one important thing to realize is that if you have given your life truly to Him then you have subjected yourself to His timing, His communication and His perfect plan. I would urge you to truly put your trust in Him. Here’s a little testimony I personally have on the matter:
When I was in high school, like any other high schooler I was pressured to find a college, a major and a career and I didn’t know what to do. We are raised to think that we HAVE TO attend school or we will go nowhere in life. So all through high school I worried and worried what to do because I didn’t feel God telling me what college to go to, what career to plan or even to go to college. After graduation God showed me clearly “I have shown you nothing because that is not the route I intend on taking you through. I am the creator of the universe and you think a bachelors degree will stop me from working in your life? I have other intentions, trust me, you will succeed.” *
Basically, the moral of the story is to truly open your heart to Gods way of working. You may see plan A, B and C and God will choose Z. Give your life to Him and pray that His perfect will may occur in His perfect timing. Pray for discerment, that you may hear Him and understand His perfect will in your life. For all you know, He may be testing your faith in Him.
